Why Sir Dapp?

The award-winning Sir Dapp! series serves manners up with a twist! With pillars of kindness, manners and empathy, "Sir Dapp!" builds a foundation for kids to stand on as they grow and relate to others. Creator Jeanne Marie Tidwell took a contemporary look at classic concepts and made them child's play, with a fast-paced game show app and a "music with a message" album the whole family will enjoy.

Kindness

“Never neglect kindness and respect” are words that children will hear throughout the “Sir Dapp!” mobile app and musical album. Why? Kindness has gotten attention in the social media space through the many “Random Acts of Kindness” stories that get viewed and shared with others. Why are these so popular? The answer is simple – it makes people happy!

Manners

Most people know that manners are important and must be taught. While parents are ideal role models, a child’s behavior is not shaped without direct instruction. For young children, who are just starting their journey to become social beings, having tools which help them get their needs met while being aware of the needs of others helps to put them on a more successful path. Within the various settings of “Sir Dapp!”, characters are faced with many opportunities to model kindness and caring for themselves, others, and their world.

Empathy

Thinking of others benefits everyone! The Sir Dapp! Game Show app uses humor to showcase what happens when Sir Dapp and his crew recognize (or ignore!) the right thing to do for themselves, others and the planet.

“Children who learn to be caring and kind display more positive behaviors, are happier kids and more likely to show higher academic achievement, and have a more positive outlook on life.” (Price-Mitchell , The Art of Kindness: Teaching Children to Care)
